With nearly 50 years of experience, The Braun Corporation understands the unique needs of each individual. The company was built on a foundation of quality, safety, convenience, and innovation.
Braun traces its roots back to 1963 when Ralph Braun, driven by his own need for greater mobility, built the Tri-Wheeler in his cousin’s farm shop. As his mobility increased, so did attention from the rest of the disabled community. Soon his part-time business became Save-A-Step Manufacturing. By 1972, the company had grown to become The Braun Corporation.
Today, Braun manufactures a full line of lowered floor minivans with 6 different conversions to choose from:
Entervan®
Designed and engineered for the best in safety and reliability, it’s really no wonder the Dodge/Chrysler Entervan has been the star of the BraunAbility fleet for over 20 years. This classic conversion is easy to operate and offers a spacious interior for greater maneuverability. The Entervan features a power auto-kneel system, lowered driver side sliding door sill, easy-out front passenger and drive seats under carriage spare tire storage and more.

Entervan® XT
The Entervan XT is the perfect mobility solution for individuals who sit higher in their wheelchairs. With over 56″ of clearance through the sliding door – a full four inches more than the standard Entervan – this conversion makes it easier for many wheelchair users to enter and exit the vehicle. Up to 61″ of interior clearance provides extra headroom and greater visibility. A convenient fold-down footrest gives backseat passengers a more comfortable ride too.
Just like the standard Entervan, the XT features a power auto-kneel system, lowered driver side sliding door sill, easy-out front passenger and drive seats under carriage spare tire storage and more.

CompanionVan® SE
The CompanionVan SE offers the accessibility of a traditional lowered-floor minivan in a streamlined, economical package. With a manual door and manual ramp, these wheelchair vehicles are a great choice for wheelchair users who travel with an attendant. This SE features a lowered floor from the rear bench seat to just behind the front seat allowing space for one wheelchair. Both front seats and the rear bench seat are retained, allowing seating for up to four ambulatory adults with one wheelchair secure position in the center lowered floor area.

CompanionVan® RE
The CompanionVan RE offers the accessibility of a traditional lowered-floor minivan in a streamlined, economical package. With a manual door and manual ramp, these wheelchair vehicles are a great choice for wheelchair users who travel with an attendant. The RE features a lowered floor from just behind the front seats all the way to the rear of the van with room for two wheelchairs with the seats folded up. Two unique Flip & Fold second-row seats allow seating for up to four ambulatory adults with one wheelchair secure position in the rear lowered floor area.

Honda Entervan®
With the addition of the Honda Odyssey Entervan™, BraunAbility now offers a lowered floor conversion on each of the three most popular minivan chassis on the market.
The newest member of the fleet offers the same accessibility and convenience of every BraunAbility vehicle – the automatic kneeling system lowers the rear suspension and allows for a low ramp slope and 54-3/8” of sliding door height. As always, the lightweight aluminum side-entry ramp folds out for convenient and easy wheelchair or scooter access.
With its sleek exterior and impressive interior options, the Honda Odyssey complements an already diverse product line-up!
